Mr. Touch Puthy, head director of Science Department at Kid City expressed the objective of launching this science center as a place where children can get their science questions answered and discover more on their own after learning in school.
Science discovery of Kid City operates on 2 floors – the 8th and the 9th floor. On a 1000 square kilometers extend, this is considered to be the biggest Science Discovery center in Cambodia. Important sections of this center include: Power or Energy: Practical science related to power that generates energy Universe: basic knowledge of space including the earth rotation, sun, moon and other planets.
Submarine: knowledge in relation with driving ships, location tracking, and navigation, etc. Body and Mind: Additional traning on the human body and mind to develop one's intelligence and spirit.Other than that, students can explore other sections such as magnetic field, optic, submarine and force.
Entrance fee weekday is 5$ for kids under 12 years old and 8$ for older. On weekend and holidays, entrance fee cost at 8$ for kids younger than 12 and 10$ for older. All entertainment and discovery sections at Kid City is included with one expert on the subject.
